The holidays should be a time of joy, but they can also be a time of stress – with holiday travel, visits from family, party planning, shopping for gifts, and all the other things you have on your plate that you need to get done right now. Who has the time to work out? Which is a shame, because exercise is one of the best ways to relieve stress…

Fortunately, you don’t have to choose! This quick high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout takes only 5 minutes, yet it is vigorous enough to help you to release some of that stress, work up a sweat, and improve your cardiovascular health. You can fit this holiday HIIT workout into your holiday schedule now matter how busy you are, and it will help you stay fit throughout the holidays. For even better results, do it twice!

The workout consists of two sets of 5 exercises which you will do for 20 seconds each, with 10 seconds of recovery between each. You will start off slow to warm up, then move into higher intensity. Be sure to do a quick stretch at the end to prevent any residual soreness – and then you can get back to your regularly scheduled holiday activities! 🙂
