[Foodie Friday Recipe] Orange Spice Pumpkin Bread
This mouthwatering orange spice pumpkin bread makes a quick & delicious holiday season breakfast!
Got some pumpkin puree left over from Thanksgiving? Want to continue the pumpkin spice season a bit longer? Whip up this delicious citrus-infused pumpkin bread to satisfy your cravings! This tasty quick bread is flavored with spices and the zest of organic oranges for a mouthwatering combo in every bite.
(Side Note: I reduced the sugar and butter by about half and made this with persimmon puree instead of pumpkin, and it was to die for! You could also use pureed squash instead of pumpkin.)
The glaze is optional, and gives it more of a dessert vibe. Feel free to omit this if you like, as the bread itself is plenty sweet.
Once cooled, wrap the loaf in foil and it will keep for up to a week in the refrigerator. (You can also freeze it for later if you prefer.) To serve, slice and warm in the toaster oven, then add a bit of butter if you like. It’s delicious for breakfast, and easy to grab a slice on the go!
