This delicious summer treat is also suitable for vegans as it contains no milk or cream – and you’ll never even miss them… Nor would you ever guess that it’s naturally sugar-free, as the bananas provide all the sweetness you’ll need.
This is the perfect follow-up to a summer barbecue, as you can freeze your bananas the day before and then whip up dessert in a jiffy!
All you need for this quick and easy recipe is ripe bananas, cinnamon, vanilla, and nuts (optional). You’ll also need a food processor or blender, and of course, a freezer. đŸ™‚
Easy Banana Bread Ice Cream
Serves: 4
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Freeze Time: Overnight (do this part ahead)
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe bananas
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional!)
Instructions:
- Cut bananas into chunks and freeze until completely solid.
- Put bananas, cinnamon, allspice and vanilla extract into a food processor. Process until smooth.
- Stir in or sprinkle on nuts (if using) and serve!
