Use these 9 essential oils to get great skin – naturally!

Having great skin can boost your confidence and make you feel better about yourself. There are many factors that influence the health of your skin, from diet, to exposure to toxins and allergens, to sun exposure, and more.

Obviously great skin starts from within – but what you put on the outside matters too.  Many commercial skincare products are full of chemicals that can absorb into your skin and cause health problems down the road.

Fortunately, there are plenty of natural products that can help give you the beautiful glowing skin you’re looking for – without the health risks. For example, here are 9 essential oils that you can use for healthy, great looking skin:

Lavender

This essential oil is one of the most commonly used essential oils for skin care. It is also fairly common in stores, so you should be able to find it easily. Lavender oil smells amazing, and also helps regenerate skin cells, so it’s great for use as an anti-aging aid. Lavender oil can be used on all skin types.

Frankincense

Frankincense is great for your skin because it helps to reduce inflammation, so it’s great for those suffering from acne. It also minimizes pores and reduces wrinkles like collagen, minimizes the appearance of scars, and revitalizes dry skin.

Neroli

Neroli is a very gentle oil that soothes sensitive skin, and also helps reduce oiliness.

Cypress

Cypress essential oil calms and freshens your skin, and reduces the appearance of varicose and spider veins.

Grapefruit

Grapefruit oil is also good for your skin, but often it is used internally. Many people add grapefruit essential oil to juice or water, and drink it to help prevent or reduce cellulite.

Geranium

Geranium is a great skin healer, and is often used for healing skin conditions such as eczema or even ring worm. (Note: Some people may suffer allergic reactions to geranium oil, so you should always test it first on a very small patch of skin for 24 hours before using to treat your condition.)

Myrrh

Myrrh oil helps prevent and relieve skin infections, and some say it helps with mood balance as well.

Rose

Rose essential oil that contains antimicrobial compounds that help reduce skin problems including acne and it also helps to hydrate your skin.

Keep in mind that essential oils are strong stuff. Before using any of these, you should do a test on a small patch of skin just to make sure you aren’t allergic.
